Six museums awarded Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund support
Six museums are to further develop their collections after being handed a share of £390,000 from the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund - administered by the Museums Association.
Among the sites to receive funding is Woodhorn Museum and Northumberland Archives in Ashington, which received £63,000 towards a programme of guest curatorships.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Museums and Art Galleries of Wales secured £100,000 to link natural science collections across the country.
MA collections coordinator Sally Colvin said: "All the successful projects will work on important collections and have something innovative or exemplary about them."
