HLF funding for Spetchley Park visitor experience project
A scheme designed to improve the visitor experience at Spetchley Park Gardens, Worcester, has secured initial support - including development funding - from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The organisation has awarded £134,700 to help progress the gardens' bid for a full grant at a later date, with its proposals including essential conservation work to the garden lake.
A new interpretation centre is also planned, with Spetchley Park Gardens one of the last few remaining landscapes of its kind in the UK. It first opened to the public in 1924.
