David Bellamy officially opens Bowes Museum's new-look grounds
Botanist and broadcaster David Bellamy has officially opened the new-look grounds and parkland at County Durham's Bowes Museum following a £200,000 renovation.
The project comes after a £12m revamp of the museum itself and has been mainly funded by County Durham Environmental Trust through the Landfill Communities Fund.
Support was also received from the Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust and Teesdale Action Partnership, with TGP Landscape Architects (North) responsible for the design.
Trevor Atkinson and Co was the lead contractor, while Marcus Byron Interpretation and Design were also involved. Click here for more information.
