The project is one of a number funded through the Department for Education in response to an independent review of cultural education undertaken by Darren Henley.
Each of the 10 regional museums will work with clusters of schools, national museums and Bridge organisations in order to increase the number of educational visits by schools.
" ACE has also announced a new Cultural Education Partnership Group, which is designed to test its shared approach towards cultural education throughout the country.
The Heritage Lottery Fund, the British Film Institute and English Heritage also form part of the group, with all members using their resources to increase engagement with children.
