Dorking museum to reopen
Dorking Museum & Heritage Centre in Surrey will reopen to the public on 26 October - four years after it closed for a comprehensive redevelopment.
The local museum, which is operated entirely by volunteers, has invested in a number of new exhibits - including interactive displays.
The museum houses a nationally recognised collection of oil and watercolour paintings and benefitted from a £500,000 bequest left by Owen Russ - one of the museum's stewards - in 2003.
